About us
Bell Tones is our family. We are a husband and wife who love each other, love music, and love teaching. We offer private and affordable piano, violin, viola, and guitar lessons in the Tallahassee area. We accept all ages and all skill levels. Our professional yet enthusiastic attitudes make our structured lessons fun and exciting.
With Bell Tones you are promised an instructor committed to the student's success and their enjoyment along the way. We are student focused. We know that each student has his or her own unique way of learning. We believe it is the instructors job to tailor each lesson to the needs of each individual student.
Private Violin, Viola, Piano, and Guitar Lessons
Beginning skill levels will be taught about their instrument and who to hold it properly, basic note reading and notation within their music (dynamic markings, etc.). Over all it will be just the beginnings of what will hopefully blossom into a love for their instrument and music in general. These lessons generally only 30 minutes and are $15 dollars each. We recommend one 30 minute lesson once a week.
Intermediate skill levels will be expected to read music relatively easily (know note names and where they land on their instrument). They will be taught more notations and basic theory as well as more complicated pieces as their skill level increases. These lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the need of the student. One hour lessons are $30 and we recommend them once a week.
Advanced skill levels will be expected to be proficient in music reading and have a general advanced knowledge of their instrument and how to play it. They will be taught pieces that will challenge and excite them and will be giving opportunities to continue to expand. These lesson are normally an hour. As said above one hour lessons are $30 and we recommend them once a week.
Since we are a family we understand the need to be flexible. If you cannot afford lessons, but wish more than anything you or your child could learn please contact us! We may be able to work out a system that works for you. Lessons will be held in our home and you are promised a safe and secure learning environment. If you prefer an instructor come to your home instead of you coming to ours, please contact us! Depending on mileage we may be able to arrange it.
